Hearing Australia - free screening sessions
Details
Event information
Sandringham Life Saving Club is partnering with Hearing Australia to provide free hearing screenings to our community. It's an opportunity to get a free hearing screen, identify if there is hearing loss or other concerns, and get more information or further assessments organised if necessary.
Regular hearing checks are an essential part of overall health, as hearing loss can develop gradually and often goes unnoticed, especially in older adults. Risk factors include conditions like diabetes, high blood pressure, and dementia. Early intervention can help improve communication, reduce social isolation, and enhance quality of life. We're pleased to be able to offer this free opportunity to our community!
Maria, a Community Hearing Advisor from Hearing Australia, will be running this session at the clubhouse on Wednesday, September 23rd from 11-1:30pm. Each screening takes 10-15 minutes and bookings are essential as we only have 10 spots available. Please book through our website and we will be in touch closer to the event to confirm the time slot for your screening.
All attendees must pre-register to ensure they are covered by our insurance. Please do not attend the program if you are unwell or show any symptoms of COVID-19. Participants are requested to be mindful of social distancing, practice good hand hygiene and coughing/sneezing etiquette, etc.
