Beyond the Boat – Preparing for Regattas Series
With a large number of sailors representing RQYS and Queensland at international regattas and World Championships this winter, the RQYS Sailing Academy is running a series of theory sessions to support preparation in the lead-up. All Youth Squad sailors and families are encouraged to come along, not just those attending these international events.
Beyond the Boat – Preparing for Regattas is focused on building the skills needed to perform on race day. Across the series, we’ll cover:

Fueling your body
We’re lucky to be working alongside QAS, with input from both coaches and athletes who’ve competed internationally. Sessions will be a mix of practical activities, personal reflections, and panel-style discussions. Sailors should bring something to take notes with, and parents are encouraged to attend.
