Welcome back to Green Fleet training and to new members!
Green Fleet Optimist Training Commences Sunday 21st April - 16th June 2024.
Green Fleet Quest Training Commences Saturday 20th April- 15th June 2024.
Training will run each week from 0830-1130 hrs. Please take note that there will be no training on June 8th-9th.
We ask that all sailors boats are rigged, and sailors are dressed in sailing gear ready to go prior to the start of the session time, 0830hrs.

Please Note:
- In case weather conditions aren't suitable for on-water activities, we'll conduct theory sessions.
- To participate in this training, you need to be a junior member of RQYS.
We ask all sailors to join Stack Team App in their appropriate fleets so our coaches can send notices and information. We also recpommend joining our facebook group 'RQYouthSquad Green Fleet' as we also share information on this page that can differ from Stack Team App.
Program Focus:
Following the structure and instruction in learn-to-sail programs. Green Fleet is an introduction to coaching and learning to train.
Green Fleet promotes practicing the fundamental skills of sailing, introduces some foundation race skills through training activities in an environment that is enjoyable, without a competition focus.
During the Program sailors are encouraged to take part in freesail activity, and to trial a variety of boats, boards, and other club related activity through age appropriate design.
