ACKNOWLEDGMENT OF RISK

I, the undersigned, understand and acknowledge that rowing is a physically demanding sport that involves risks including, but not limited to, capsizing, collision, injury due to equipment failure, water conditions, weather, physical exertion, and exposure to environmental elements.

I voluntarily choose to participate in this Come and Try Rowing Event organised by Rockhampton Fitzroy Rowing Club and The Cathedral College and accept full responsibility for any injury, loss, or damage that may occur to me or my property.

WAIVER AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY

1.      Release and discharge Rockhampton Fitzroy Rowing Club, its coaches, members, volunteers, and affiliates from any and all liability for personal injury, death, or property damage arising from my participation.

2.      Agree to indemnify and hold harmless the same from any claims, costs, or expenses (including legal fees) resulting from my actions or negligence.

3.      Acknowledge that safety instructions will be provided and I agree to follow all safety procedures and instructions at all times.

MEDICAL CONSENT

I confirm that I am in good physical health and have no known medical conditions that would affect my ability to safely participate in rowing. In the event of an emergency, I authorise Rockhampton Fitzroy Rowing Club or its representatives to obtain medical treatment on my behalf if necessary.
