2024 Rainbow Racquets Open Tournament Saturday, 24 February 2024 - Hiscoes, NSW

WELCOME, SQUASH PLAYERS

Squash Australia has again teamed up with Rainbow Racquets Squash Sydney for the 2nd Annual Rainbow Racquets Open Tournament on Sat, 24 February. A round-robin in the morning for each skill level (A, B, C & D) is followed by finals the afternoon. We are expecting between 48-56 competitors.

The tournament is open to everyone 18+ years of age (LGBTQIA+ and Allies), with men and women integrated into the same draw, and caters for every skill level (with every player getting 4-5 games in one day).

Our home is again Hiscoes in Surry Hills – which is close to all the action happening during Sydney Mardi Gras. Hiscoes has 4 squash courts, with all matches allocated a time and everyone notified prior to playing. We are proud to announce that Jason McLauchlan (former Junior Squash Champion), of Maash Squash/Stellar Sports will be one our sponsors and Tournament Director.

Rainbow Racquets Squash Sydney, who are an amazing and enthusiastic group of players, and whom you will remember from having hosted last year’s wonderful first tournament during Sydney World Pride - are looking forward to seeing you all again!

Formerly known as GSquash, which started in the 1980s, and which organised its first international tournament at the Gay Games 2002, the newly-named Rainbow Racquets Squash Sydney is proud to continue its tradition of inclusive squash play!

Expect plenty of competition, representing ALL the colours of our rainbow nation, from inter-state and from other squash clubs to determine WHO will be the Pride Champion 2024?! in each skill grade.
