Fees

2026 Club fee structure

Railway Greys Hockey Club divides the payment of playing fees into TWO parts.

  • Part 1: Registration Fees- These are required to be paid online when you register and include a portion of your Team Fee.
  • Part 2: Team Fees- Will be invoiced to you directly in April and these are payable by 30th June, please keep an eye on your emails including your spam folders.

The Hockey Australia (HA), Hockey NSW (HNSW) and Illawarra South Coast Hockey (ISCH) fees go directly to our parent bodies, this includes insurance and is required to participate in all endorsed competitions.

The Rail component is the only fee that goes towards the running of the club. This fee is used to cover the cost of Team registration with ISCH, coach remuneration, equipment, umpire payments, presentation night, training field hire, etc.

Part 2: Team Fees

The Team Fee's for the 2026 outdoor season are $250 per person.

Unfortunately, the club was not successful in securing sponsorship for the 2025 season, and our fundraising efforts did not generate the income we had hoped for. As a result, we have fewer funds available to subsidise player fees for the 2026 outdoor season.

To help explain the need for the $150 per‑player fee increase, the table below outlines the typical costs incurred by the club each season:

Fee Type Amount per season Amount per player (4 teams w/ 11 each team)
ISCH Team Fee ~ $12,000 (Based on 2025 costs per team) ~ $273
Field Hire for Training ~ $4485 ($172.50 per week) ~ $102
Coach Remuneration ~ $3500 ~ $80
Misc - Presentation, Training kits, Umpire Pmts etc ~ $4000 ~ $90
Total Cost to the club ~ $24,000 ~ $550 Per Player
Discount funded by sponsorship & fundraising ~ $13,200 ~ $300 Per Player

Even with rising costs and reduced external funding, we have worked hard to keep fees as low as possible. The club is still subsidising $300 per player for the 2026 season.

We appreciate your understanding and support. This decision was not made lightly, and we hope all members can get involved in fundraising activities throughout 2026 to help keep future fees affordable.

You will be required to pay $150 at the time of registration, and an invoice for the remaining $100 will be emailed to you in April to be paid by 30th June. Note: Those that registered prior to 4th March received a $50 discount at time of registration. Registrations received after this time are required tor pay $150 at registration followed by an invoice for $100 in April.

If you require a payment plan for these fees you can select this option at the time if registration.
