Australian Auroras
Who are the Auroras?
The Auroras are the Australian National Development Team, selected from the Australian National Squad, who are sent to international events such as the Quadball Nations Cup. The Auroras are a new team from Quadball Australia, with the goal of being able to provide more of the elite Australian player base an opportunity to compete at an international level.
A Brief History
Formed for the first time in 2024, the Australian Auroras attended their first event in October of 2024, competing at the second iteration of the Quadball Nations Cup, an event created specifically for National Development Teams to have the opportunity to compete internationally. After a strong weekend of play, the Auroras placed 6th overall, after playing against England, the first time Australia and England have played against each other in international quadball in 10 years.
2026 Auroras
This year, the Australian Auroras will take on regional teams at the IQA Oceania Asian Games. The games will be held at Landen Stadium in Blacktown, Sydney, on the 26th - 27th September.
The 2026 Auroras are proudly sponored by Drifters.

Donate
At the moment, the campaign is entirely funded by the team's volunteer efforts. Players and staff alike joined the Dropbears knowing that they may have to pay for the experience themselves. With your help, we can ease the financial burden of international travel and let the team focus on giving their best performance. Any donations you make will go directly to the team, allowing us subsidise accommodation, uniforms, and other similar things.
