The Cartwright Cup was presented to PASC in 1929 by Mr O Cartwright. It was inscribed with the name of the 1stwinner, R & T Butler’s 14-footer dingy, Allen Fraser. The cup was reintroduced as a trophy for keel boat races in 1971.

George Robertson Memorial
George Robertson Combined PASC-PRSC Memorial Trophy (1999)
George Robertson not only played a major role in the development of the PRSC but also ensured that the links between the two sister clubs remained strong. Both clubs recognised his outstanding contribution by electing him a Life Member. The street leading to both clubs also bears his name”
The first race in 1999 was won by A. Timberlake in Trillion (PASC Yacht) and W Sheffield in Wild 1 (PRSC Yacht)

Women’s Shield
THE WOMEN’S SHIELD
When the PASC Ladies’ Auxiliary disbanded in 1982 they used part of their residual money to purchase a silver tray for a donation to the Club as a perpetual trophy for the annual Ladies Day race. The balance of $219 was placed in a Trust Fund with the interest used to maintain the trophy.
John Leigh Memorial Shield
The John Leigh Memorial Shield is described in the publication “A Sailing-boat Club at Port Adelaide” (Author John Couper-Smartt) on page 262:
“In August 1978, Treasurer John Leigh donated $400 to the club with the request that it be used to purchase trophies.
John Leigh served as both Honorary Secretary and Treasurer of the club, holding both positions for several years. He was elected as a Life Member in 1980. Since 1985 the John Leigh Memorial Trophy has been awarded to the winner of the first race of each season.
Jim Armitage Memorial Shield
This trophy was first presented in 2021. Jim was a life member & a keen yachtsman/racer at the PASC.
While racing his boat Emma during a twilight race on 13 January 2021 there was a tragic accident in which Jim was fatally injured. Jim was an affable man who was well liked & this trophy was instigated in his memory.
Magpie Cup
“Mr and Mrs J P Clausen presented this cup for a Cadet dingy race in 1929. The first race for the cup was won by their son, H Clausen in his cadet Magpie………, he retained the trophy.
Over 60 years later the Magpie Cup was acquired by Alan Rice and returned to the Club at a presentation during the Centenary Opening Day ceremony in 1997. Since that time it has been awarded for a race held during the Winter series.

Sports and Recreation Trophy
“The Sports and Recreation Trophy (1986) Also known as the “Seagull Trophy”, this striking cast trophy was donated by Ross Evers in January 1986. He presented similar trophies to several other local sports clubs, each one bearing the appropriate club colours.”
