Current and past members need to renew each year to keep their PLYC membership active. Annual membership fees become due after the AGM, which is held in August each year, and must be paid within three weeks of the start of the sailing season.

Membership categories and fees

Use this section to check which membership category applies to you before you begin the registration or renewal process.

Membership category	Description	Fee
Sailing memberships	Includes Australian Sailing fees.
Life Member	For Life Members that actively sail. No Membership fees due, only the Australian Sailing affiliation fee. Includes voting rights.	$100
Adult	For adults who want to sail at the club. Includes voting rights	$255
Youth (U18)	For members under 18 on 1 July 2026. Includes sailing rights but no voting rights.	$140
Pension/Student Concession	For members over 18 with an eligible pension or student concession. Includes sailing and voting rights.	$195
Learn to Sail	Saturday morning sailing program for all ages. (Split into Spring Pre-Xmas & Summer Post Xmas sessions)	$140
Family	For up to two adult members and any number of youth members under 18 living at the same address who want to sail at the club. Adult members have voting rights. Refer to the Family Membership Options 1, 2 or 3 detailed below to find your families best membership combination. All family combinations capped at $440	Capped at $440
Non-sailing memberships	For members who want to be involved without sailing.
Life Member	For non-sailing Life Members. Registration only - no membership fee. Includes voting rights	No Fee
Pension/Student Concession	For non-sailing members over 18 with an eligible pension or student concession. Includes voting rights.	$95
Social/Community member	For social or community members. No sailing or voting rights.	$70
Adult (Non-Sailing)	For members over 18 who do not sail but have voting rights.	$155
Casual membership options	For people who only sail occasionally.
Senior SailPass	For adults who want to sail occasionally. No voting rights. Use up to 5 times. After 5 uses, your Australian Sailing levy is paid, and you can continue sailing by paying the remaining Senior membership balance of $155.	$20
Youth SailPass	For persons under 18 as at 1/7/26 who want to sail occasionally. Use up to 5 times. After 5 uses, your Australian Sailing levy is paid, and you can continue sailing by paying the remaining Youth membership balance of $90.	$10
Never sailed before
3 for Free	If you have never sailed before, you can try sailing for free up to three times. You must register each time you sail. After that, you need to join as a casual or full member to keep sailing.	No Fee

Family Membership combinations

For families choosing a Family Membership option.

Before you start the online registration process, please review the three Family Membership options and choose the one that best matches your family.

Find your Australian Sailing number

For returning members, SailPass users and family members who already have an Australian Sailing number.

You will need your Australian Sailing number to renew your membership or register for a SailPass.

If you do not know your number:

Click the Find my AS Number link here.
Enter your first and last name.
Select Search.
Your number will appear under your name further down the screen.

Renew your Individual Membership

For current and past members renewing an individual membership.

Before you start

Make sure you have your Australian Sailing number ready.
Know which membership category you are renewing for this season.
If you are renewing a Family Membership, read the Family Membership renewals section first.

Steps to renew

At the bottom of this page, select RETURNING MEMBER.
Follow the prompts to renew your annual membership.
Complete payment.

Renew a Family Membership

For families renewing more than one family member.

The RevSport platform does not currently allow families to renew more than one family member in the same transaction. To renew a Family Membership, each family member needs to be renewed separately by following the steps below.

Before you start

Have the Australian Sailing numbers ready for ALL family members.
If your family group includes someone who has never been a PLYC member before, complete one paper membership form for the whole family group. Download form here.
Choose the Family Membership option that best matches your family.

Steps to renew a Family Membership

Select the correct Family Membership option.
Renew Adult 1 first and complete payment.
Adult 1 will receive a Welcome Email.
Use the link in that email to renew the next family member at the discounted family rate.
Each renewed family member will receive their own Welcome Email.
Continue using each Welcome Email link until all family members have been renewed.

Important note: Additional family members can only access the discounted family rates by using the link supplied in the Welcome Email. These discounted payment classes are not available anywhere else.

Register for a SailPass

For people who want to sail occasionally without taking out a full membership.

Before you start

Make sure you have your Australian Sailing number ready.

SailPass registration steps

At the bottom of this page, select RETURNING MEMBER.
Enter your Australian Sailing number, name and date of birth.
Select SAILPASS MEMBERSHIP.
Follow the prompts and finalise payment.
You will receive a Welcome Email once the process is complete.

Apply to join as a new member

For people joining the club for the first time.

Before you start

New members need two current PLYC voting members to act as proposer and seconder.
If you need help, please ask a committee member or senior voting member.

Steps to join

Download a PLYC Membership form here.
Complete all information required on the form.
Have two current PLYC members sign off as your proposer and seconder.
Return completed form to secretary@plyc.com.au.
Once membership has been ratified, an invoice will be issued for payment of membership fees.
