Membership Annual Renewal and New Members 2026/27

Please read this page before you renew your membership or join as a new member.

Renewing members

If you are a current or past member you need to register each year to keep your PLYC membership active. Membership fees are due on 1st September (after the August AGM) and must be paid by 31st October.

The membership types and fees are listed below:

For adults who want to sail at the club. Includes voting rights

For members under 18 on 1 July 2026. Includes sailing rights but no voting rights.

For members over 18 with an eligible pension or student concession. Includes sailing and voting rights.

Learn to Sail

Saturday morning sailing program for all ages.

Family

For up to two adult members and any number of youth members under 18 living at the same address who want to sail at the club. Adult members have voting rights.

Non-sailing memberships

For members who want to be involved without sailing.

 

Social/Community member

For social or community members. No sailing or voting rights.

Senior (non-sailing)

For members over 18 who do not sail but have voting rights.

Casual membership options

For people who only sail occasionally.

 

Senior SailPass

For adults who want to sail occasionally but do not need voting rights.

Use up to 5 times. After 5 uses, your Australian Sailing levy is paid, and you can continue by paying the remaining Senior membership balance of $155.

Youth SailPass

For youth members who want to sail occasionally but do not need voting rights.

Use up to 5 times. After 5 uses, your Australian Sailing levy is paid, and you can continue by paying the remaining Youth membership balance of $90.

Never sailed before

If you have never sailed before, you can try sailing for free up to three times. You must register each time you sail. After that, you need to join as a casual or full member to keep sailing.

Find your Australian Sailing number

You will need your Australian Sailing Number to renew memberships. If you do not know it, click the AS Number link here, enter your first and last name, then select Search. Your number will appear under your name further down the screen.

REGISTER FOR SAILPASS INTRODUCTORY MEMBERSHIP

New to Sailing and New to PLYC

Never sailed before and never been a member of PLYC then have 3 days sailing for FREE. You can register for Sailpass below. You must register each time you sail. You will receive an Australian Sailing number which is your unique registration number to use each time you sail. Once you have sailed 3 times you can either become a casual member or full member.

Casual Saturday/Sunday Sailing - for those that have sailed previously and only wish to casual sail then this is for you - Adult $20 per day maximum of 5 days, Junior $10 per day maximum of 5 days. Register for Sailpass below prior to sailing. Once you have sailed 5 times and wish to sail more then you can join as a full member. All fees paid will be deducted from the full membership fee.

If you are unable to register here you MUST complete a casual registration form and make payment prior to sailing. This will ensure you are covered under Australian Sailing personal accident insurance.  Forms are on the sign on table downstairs at the Club. Ask a member if you are unsure where these are. You can hand your form and payment into the canteen or bar.

IMPORTANT!

If you have been a member of our club (or any club) across Australia in the past few years, your details (including Australian Sailing Number) should be in our system. If you don't know your Australian Sailing Number, you can look it up here: AS Number Finder
