History:
The Parkes Club became a reality with its 2018 Inaugural Launch Day, Awakening Ceremony and BBQ, attended by Parkes Mayor, Ken Keith OAM, Deputy Mayor, Barbara Newton, many other Parkes councillors, Parkes Town Crier, Tim Keith, members from Western Region Clubs and citizens of Parkes, with scores of people hopping in the boat to try paddling. Prime and WIN TV crews covered the event, as well as local radio stations and local newspapers.
