Training – delivered to club members
The Overland 4WD Club is a member of Four Wheel Drive SA. Four Wheel Drive SA is the peak body for four wheel driving in South Australia and it is affiliated with the National 4WD Association of Australia.
Overland Club Training is conducted to a national standard by Club members who have been assessed by the Club and peer reviewed, to be of the standard required to be Club trainers.
Club members are encouraged to participate in the training of four wheel drive recovery and driving techniques. Each Member decides what level they are comfortable with and how extensive the training they receive will be. All new Members are issued with a 4WD Driving Checklist which is used to record Members progression through the training system.
Whilst training is not mandatory we do find that most Members are keen to undertake some basic training.
Of course you will also be able to source advice on all sorts of vehicles, accessories, camping equipment and gain a fantastic insight on places to visit and journeys to undertake.
Club Training (for Members only)
The Club conducts regular training activities for Club Members.
Regular training and assessments are conducted in the field at Peake in the Mallee region and Morgan on the river Murray. Ad Hoc training and assessment can be undertaken on any of the Club activities if the situation presents itself.
Presentations are also given at club meetings on subjects with-in the art and science of 4WD.
Check out the Events page to see what’s on the schedule.
