Structure of our sport in NZ

In Aoteroa - NZ, Dragon Boat clubs and teams affiliate through to local Dragon Boat organisations known as Regional Sports Organisations (RSOs). These organisations administrate and deliver our wonderful sport in their various regions.
These RSOs in turn affiliate up to the National Sporting Organisation (NSO) for Dragon Boating, the NZ Dragon Boat Association (NZDBA).

There are currently five RSOs affiliated to the NZDBA as follows:

• Auckland Dragon Boat Association
• Waikato Dragon Boating and Waka Ama Association
• Eastern Region Dragon Boat Association
• Central Region Dragon Boat Association
• Aoraki Dragon Boat Association

The NZDBA is a full member of the International Dragon Boat Federation (IDBF) which is the controlling body for the sport on a world wide basis.
