NSB believes strongly in a members right to choose.

These choices should include the right for a member to decide who and where they nominate to play their representative hockey.

Players representing NSB do so because they believe in our culture, our values and for the betterment of their team mates and our wider hockey community.

Representation is the honour to showcase the combined efforts of all our clubs, volunteers, coaches, managers and team mates efforts.

It takes a village to raise a hockey player and representing our association is a players thank to their community.

There are many reasons however why a player might choose to represent another association possibly to honour those who have contributed to their development in their past, plus a multitude of other reasons that can be very personal.

It should be their right to choose not be prevented by a policy.

NSB unconditionally offers all its members an open release should a player choose to play elsewhere.
