Norths Hockey Club

About

Norths Hockey Club is one of the premier clubs competing in the Hockey Albury-Wodonga competition. We have teams in almost all divisions of seniors (Div 1-3 men and women) and juniors (Under 10s to Under 16s boys and girls). We welcome new members, both in our junior and senior sides and seek to provide a fun and safe environment to play the great game of hockey.

Norths have, over the years, been a very successful club and we continue that tradition of excellence into the future. We train on a Tuesday night at the Alexandra Park hockey complex, juniors from 5:30 to 6:30 and seniors 6:30 to 7:30.

The Norths Hockey Club was formed in 1984 with A and C Grade Women and U15 Girls. Norths have always had the Royal Blue and White colours, because the founders Julie Twitt and Ray Blezard were passionate North Melbourne supporters and both teachers at North Albury High School.

In 1999 Norths and Albury City Hockey merged with City bringing A and B Grade Men’s teams to the existing Norths complement. The uniform changed to include a yellow stripe to the shirt which slowly faded out and the existing blue and white colours came back to the fore.
