·       Do I need to bring my own equipment? Most sessions provide the necessary equipment (nets, balls, and paddles for first-timers) however bringing your own paddles is encouraged.

·       What are some of the basic rules? More details on the rules can be found at the Pickleball Australia website, but 3 core rules include:

o   Serve: The serve must be underhand and made diagonally into the opponent’s service-zone.

o   Two-Bounce Rule: After the serve, both teams must allow the ball to bounce once before volleying.

o   Scoring: Points are primarily scored by the serving team.

·       Will coaches or resources be available to help improve my game? We are currently planning a future schedule of various pickleball clinics and also looking into ways to provide access to coaches and advice to help players develop their strategy and technical skills. Otherwise there are always friendly players near-by always happy to introduce the game and provide tips during our regular Social Play sessions.
