Welcome to the official home page of Normanton Athletics Club, including surrounding areas.

We are one of the most remote athletics club in Qld let alone in Australia. Set up in the SE corner of the Gulf of Carpentaria our goal is to give the members of the community the chance to explore a different sports avenue that was initially only available for students to do through their schools.

Originally starting with juniors we have now expanded to incorporate the Mighty Masters to make it a full family sport for the community to enjoy.

We welcome back all our returning members and also welcome new members to our family. This year we will still be running regular training sessions in Karumba and Normanton whilst also supporting other families in surrounding areas to events and training throughout the year.

Events and carnivals we are aiming for in the 2025 season:

• Trainings on Monday and Friday for Normanton and Wednesdays for Karumba from 4:30pm
• Club Days will be held on Saturdays from 3pm
• Our Outback Pentathlon Carnival will be held on Saturday June 14th
• NQ Master Games - Cairns
• Festival of Athletics - Townsville
• Coral Coast Carnival - Cairns
• Tablelands Pentathlon Day - Tolga 
• Outback Sunset Carnival - Longreach
• NQ Championships - Townsville

There are many more events on throughout the year that people can attend. To see all we encourage you to check out ANQ's events calendar. We aim to attend as many carnivals listed above as possible but there can be changes and we'll keep everyone updated.
