What? Australian Youth Water Polo Championships (AYWPC) - largest festival of water polo in the southern hemisphere!

When? April 2026 (Easter holidays)

All age groups across 2 divisions:

Week 1 - 14s & 18s play

7-12 April 2026 (arrive 6th)

Week 2 - 12s & 16s play

13-18 April 2026 (arrive 12th)

Divisions per age group -

Gold (high level competition) & Green (development)

Year born per age group -

12&U born 2014 & 2015

14&U born 2012 & 2013 & 2014

16&U born 2010 & 2011 & 2012

18&U born 2008 & 2009 & 2010

Commitment? 2 matches per day over 5 days including finals. Parents must volunteer for table duties once.

Requirement? Full team of 10+ committed players prior to attending, with a goalie.  The team must have a Coach and a Team Manager. 

Options for players depending on Club numbers who commit:

1. NEW WAVE team
2. MERGE to field a composite team with players from other clubs
3. DRAFT - Club nominates to pick up players for team OR Individual players enter the draft if insufficient Club numbers

Notes:

*$600-$800 max per player to cover share of team entry fee ($3.5-4k per team), pool hire prior to AYC, coach travel & accommodation costs before any Fundraising & Sponsorship undertaken to reduce costs

*Players fly with parent who is responsible throughout comp

*Book Flights & accommodation separately but can co-ordinate team accommodation hub

*Register your interest by 30 Nov via Club website (non-refundable deposit may be required to secure your team place)
