Planning for the 2026 Hockey Season

Planning for the next hockey season and we would love to hear your ideas for the Club’s future actions and aims.

How can we make the Newtown City Hockey Club even better than it is at present? Is there some aspect of the Club which is not performing as well as you, the member, expects? Do you have a suggestion which the club could adopt to ensure a strong and sustainable club?

Priority actions for 2026 will include:

• Continuing recruitment of members (junior and senior) and growth of club membership
• Development of skills for players, coaches and umpires
• Continuing support for members to participate at higher levels of competition
• Regular events and social opportunities for members and families
• Facility improvements e.g Hockey 5s pitch
• Interschool carnivals and holiday programs
• Fundraising to support operational costs and maintain reasonable membership fees

Any ideas, suggestions and offers of help are welcome.
