Please Note: The times above are when we start on the boards. You need to arrive early enough to allow yourself to unpack, and warm-up on the rollers. For a lot of people, that means parking your car 35 minutes early to allow time to get ready and warm up.
What's on offer?
5:30pm - DGV Novices
This timeframe is by appointment only. Contact Stelio Pappas - 0431 814 917 to ensure someone will be there for you.
This session is for novice track riders. The intention is to teach riders to confidently ride on a banked track before transitioning to the 6:30pm session.
It is recommended that you first learn track etiquette on a flat track such as Lidcombe Oval.
6:30pm - Skills and Drills
This session is for younger/slower juniors and adults who are starting out.
7:30pm - 160 Lapper
This session is for faster juniors and seniors.
Expectations:
Rider briefing at 7:20pm
The ride captain will control the pace.
Blue Line - Primary paceline
One group. -No second group on this line.
If you drop off this group you need to move to the secondary paceline.
The track will be cleared for you at approximately 15 laps remaining for a final sprint.
Black Line - Secondary paceline
One group.
If you drop off this group, you need to leave the track. -No second group on this line.
Expect to be asked to leave the track with around 15 laps to go.
8:30pm - Track Close
AusCycling Requirements
5:30pm session
AusCycling request that you make a booking, payment, complete a survey and bring your digital licence.
Book your session with AusCycling the day before. Use this link. -If the dates are wrong, select "Closed booking" and enter the time and date in the Comments at the bottom.
Pay for your session with AusCycling. The payment link is for the 5:30pm session riders only
Complete an AusCycling survey with this link for everyone in attendance including non-riders.
6:30 / 7:30pm riders pay on the night with card or cash. -Juniors $10, Seniors $15.
Licence
All riders from any club with an AusCycling "Lifestyle" membership at a minimum are welcome
All riders must have their AusCycling QR code on the Google Pay or Apple Wallet app in their phone. -The instructions to import the digital card (and includes the QR code) are reasonably straightforward.
