An invitation is extended to all female sailors who have been part of the Sailing Academy and to developing crews from local yacht clubs to enter the She Sails @ NCYC Development Regatta 2021.

This event, designed to develop women’s sailing in the Newcastle region, is an annual regatta to provide female sailors with an enjoyable “around the buoys” inshore racing event where fun & learning is the primary focus.

 

Our highly successful SheSails@NCYC Development Regatta was first held in July 2017 with the aim of showing ladies who had completed sailing courses with the NCYC Sailing Academy what a possible next step might be . . into regatta racing. 

We are now expanding our afternoon event to welcome sailors from other local yacht clubs who may be involved in their women's sailing development programs.

Each Force 24 keelboat will have an Academy Instructor/Skipper onboard, with the remaining four places filled with regatta participants.   Individual sailors can register for the regatta and we will allocate you into a crew of 4 other Academy graduates forming a crew of 5 sailors.  Sailors can also pre-organise themselves into crews of 4.

The Entry Fee is $400.00 per boat/crew for yacht club crews pre-organised or $100 for individual entries and includes training and racing day access to boats, instructor & mentor skipper,  snakes! . . . . and a bubbles & nibbles presentation and prizes.

We'll run a Training afternoon on Saturday 6th March so you can get together with your crew and have a bit of practise time on water.

Regatta day is Sunday 7th March 2021!
