MBYC has various membership classes to cater for different activities and age ranges.

*** Student fees apply to members in full-time study, and age concessions relate to members' age on the 1st October 2025.
* Family membership includes two parents and dependent children residing at the same address.
New sailing members joining after the 31st December 2025 pay a reduced fee.
This is compulsory for any person who sails in more than 3 races in any one sailing season.
The Club also strongly recommend that Non-Sailing Members who do not compete in racing, but may be involved in boating activities such as rescue boat duties, or training, should also take out the appropriate level of Australian Sailing membership and thus become entitled to insurance cover for any personal injuries incurred whilst engaged in boating activities.

A rebate of $10.00 for the second and subsequent members of a family, at the same address, is applicable, provided the subscriptions are paid by 14th October 2025. This rebate does not apply to the “Family” membership category
It should be noted that the Club does not take out insurance cover for members’ boats kept in the boat storage shed. Such insurance is the responsibility of the member. Refer to the boat storage officer for conditions of storage.
A registration fee of $35.00 applies to all boats sailing with the Club.
Payment of membership, boat registration fee and Australian Sailing Levy is considered to be payment of all sailing fees except any late entry fees.
If a member has not paid the membership, Australian Sailing Levy and Boat registration fees in full, non-refundable visitors' sailing fees are applicable.
