⚫🔴 MVC MIXED SOCIAL COMPETITION: SEASON 2 🏐

Season 2 just got bigger!

Due to high demand, we’re expanding the competition to 12 teams across two divisions, giving more players the opportunity to compete while creating more balanced matchups across the season.

• Division A — approx. Advanced level
• Division B — approx. Intermediate level

There will be 6 teams per division, with players able to nominate their preferred division during registration. Division placement is not guaranteed, as MVC may adjust placements to maintain balanced competition.

Competition Details

• Dates: Every Wednesday from 21 October to 2 December 2026
• Duration: 7 weeks
• Time: 7:00pm–10:00pm
• Game times: 7:10pm and 8:35pm
  • Matches may be played to five sets where time permits
  • Teams will be rostered for refereeing and duty responsibilities
  • The full playing and duty schedule will be shared before the competition begins
• Venue: Disability Sports Centre of Excellence, Rooty Hill
• Registration deadline:Tuesday, 20th October 2026 at 11:59pm AEDT
• Open to players aged 18+ only
• Maximum 84 players — 12 teams across 2 divisions
• 6–7 players per team

Registration

Registration remains individual, with a maximum of 84 spots available.

• Players may nominate their preferred division
• Players may nominate their preferred playing position
• Players may request teammates during registration
• Mutual teammate requests will be honoured, provided all requested players successfully secure a place in the competition
• Registration spots cannot be held for a group. For example, if only five spots remain, only five players can register even if a group of six intended to play together
• Fill-ins must already be registered players in the competition. External fill-ins are not permitted
• Final division placement remains at MVC’s discretion to maintain balanced competition
• No registration, no play

All players must hold a current MVC and Volleyball NSW membership. A Recreational Membership is suitable for social competitions.

Competition Fee & Prizes

• $140 per player for the seven-week competition
• Prizes will be awarded in both divisions
  • 1st place: Gold medals + MVC socks
  • 2nd place: Silver medals
• No payment, no play

Competition Rules

• Each team must include at least one female player
• At least one female player must be on court at all times
• No permanent middle or permanent libero
• Fill-ins must be registered participants in the Season 2 competition
• If the ball hits the roof or a light fixture and remains on the same side of the court, it remains live and may be played
• All players must follow venue requirements and the reasonable directions of the MVC admin team

Important Acknowledgements

By registering, you confirm that:

• You are 18 years of age or older
• You have read and accepted the event waiver and understand that volleyball involves physical activity and carries a risk of injury
• You are medically fit to participate and will notify MVC of any relevant medical conditions or injuries
• You agree to follow the competition rules and venue requirements
• You understand that all players must hold a current MVC and Volleyball NSW membership
• You accept the payment terms outlined above
• You understand that registration fees are non-refundable after registrations close, including for missed games, withdrawal, injury or a change of circumstances
• Any refund or player substitution is at the discretion of the MVC President or Vice President
• You understand that preferred positions and preferred division are not guaranteed
• You understand that mutual teammate requests will only be honoured where all requested players successfully secure a competition spot
• You consent to photos and videos taken during the competition being used by MVC for promotional purposes. If you do not consent, please notify the MVC admin team before playing
