About Us

McAuley Hockey Club (previously known as Cardinals Hockey Club) was established at St Mary’s College in 1965. It underwent the name change to McAuley Hockey Club in 1990, when the local Catholic High Schools amalgamated.

McAuley Hockey Club grew out of the strong school clubs’ history in Grafton Women’s Hockey. Although most school clubs have disappeared, McAuley has managed to continue by broadening their player base. The club has expanded to include parents, teachers and any other players from the Clarence Valley. All females of any age and ability are welcome and teams are fielded in all grades. Competitive and social players are catered for.

McAuley particularly prides itself on developing young players. It enables all members to enjoy a healthy weekend activity together with friends. We take pride in the inclusive nature of our club.    Our teams have enjoyed success, but most of all, they benefit from participating in a healthy weekend activity with their peers.

We have a strong volunteer base, who work tirelessly to ensure our club runs smoothly and that the players receive top quality coaching.

We are looking forward to the upcoming season, with teams nominated in Junior Girls and Senior Womens Third Grade. There is a place for everyone to enjoy their hockey at McAuley Hockey Club!
