About

The Mazenod Volleyball Club (MVC) was established in 2015, with the aim of providing a high quality volleyball program for its members. The Club currently competes in Premier, Reserve and Junior State League divisions.

From humble beginnings in 2015, the Mazenod Volleyball Club has grown in strength and number to compete in the highest divisions in Volleyball Victoria’s State League.

The MVC was born from the growing calls for an additional external club to participate in Volleyball Victoria’s State League. With a close connection to Mazenod College, the Club was established to provide an external avenue for current and past high-school players, where the same philosophy and program styles of the College would be present.

In 2015, the Club entered Division 2 of the State League competition, with Old Boys’ of Mazenod College forming the first team to compete. After the Men’s side achieved promotion to the Premier division in 2017, the MVC commenced a Women’s program which entered their maiden competition in 2017.

In 2018, the Club introduced a junior program to help foster the growth of its younger members and provide a more structured pathway from junior to senior levels. Since its inception, the MVC has grown to now include Men’s, Women’s and Junior sides that compete in the highest divisions.

In 2021, the MVC fielded a total of 11 teams including 4 Men’s teams across Premier and Reserve divisions, 3 Women’s teams across Premier and Reserve divisions, and 2 Junior Boys and Junior Girls sides respectively.
