GCMF Competitions shall be looking at taking on a new look in 2025 to
- Allow for the inclusion of additional teams,
- Provide the opportunity for greater 'playing time' by all registered players,
- Provide a pathway for longer serving members to continue playing the game they enjoy along with like members experiencing like declining physical attributes.
This would involve the following:
A. Requiring new (male) members to be aged 45 or over,
B. Playing 9 aside games ìn 2 Divisions (45 and over/50 and over*) and 7 aside (Over 55s),
NB *9 Aside in those divisions has reverted to 11 Aside
C. Revising the current playing rules in order to facilitate the differing needs of players in each division.
D. Rewarding the loyalty of long serving members/players who choose to play in the Over 55s.
Details on team nominations and player registration procedures shall be published shortly.
Competitions shall be commencing early February.
