Mad Rabbit Crew is a community-driven, non-profit running club that opens its arms to runners of every skill level and background. Founded on the principles of inclusivity, harmony, and multiculturalism, we pride ourselves on providing a safe and supportive training environment for all.
While running is often seen as a solitary pursuit, we believe in the power of the pack. Together, we run as a team—cheering each other on whether we’re hitting the same pavement or connecting from afar. Over the past few years, MRC has hit its stride, seeing massive growth in membership, race participation, and strategic partnerships that bring exclusive benefits to our community.
The MRC Management Committee remains dedicated to nurturing a platform that is as challenging and safe as it is fun. We are incredibly hyped for what the coming year holds, and we’d love for you to join us for the journey of running.

Weekly Training Schedule
MRC takes pride in being one of Victoria’s most active running communities. Our calendar is packed with opportunities to hit the pavement, with all upcoming events detailed on our Strava group page and social media platforms. Below is an overview of our weekly club sessions:
Wednesday: Mid-Week Speed & Track - Time: 6:30 AM - Doncaster Athletics Track
Designed to sharpen your performance, each of our Wednesday "Quality Sessions" is led by one of the accredited coaches from MRC members. We begin with specialized activation drills and a dynamic warm-up before diving into the workout.
To ensure everyone gets the most out of the morning, runners might be organized into pace groups. Our programming alternates between fartleks, intervals, and threshold runs, specifically engineered to improve the speed, aerobic capacity, and endurance.
Saturday: Community Parkrun - 8:00 AM - Various Parkrun sites across Victoria
Saturdays are all about community. We participate as a team in various Parkruns throughout the state, offering a relaxed and supportive environment. It is the perfect way to kickstart the weekend, whether you are a seasoned athlete looking for a tempo run or a beginner taking your very first steps in your running journey. Family members of all ages are always welcome!
Sunday: Sunday Long Run (SLR) - 6:50 AM - Rotating weekly routes
The Sunday Long Run is one of the symbolic activities at MRC. To keep things fresh and exciting, we explore various routes regularly. Each course is meticulously mapped on Strava with multiple distance options to cater to all fitness levels.
Guided by our dedicated team of pacers as “run leaders”, the experience doesn't end at the finish line; our traditional post-run brunch and coffee allow members to unwind, share stories, and build lasting friendships. In line with our commitment to the running community, the SLR is free and open to both club members and public participants.
