General meetings are held on the second Saturday of every second month (February, April, June, August, October, December) commencing at 9.30am in the clubhouse.
Play
Croquet is a fun sport suitable for a wide range of ages and abilities. It is a game of skill, strategy and social interaction providing great exercise for body and mind. Variations include:
- Golf Croquet
- Ricochet
- Association Croquet
- Gateball
Members predominantly play Golf Croquet at Laurel Bank Croquet Club. Association and Ricochet Croquet may be played at times. Please contact the club for more information.

NB Winter play times (May - August) - 8am start for morning play and 3pm start on Wednesday afternoons.
New members and visitors are welcome at any time. Coaching is available for new players and members who wish to improve skills for competitive and social play.
As well as regular social play, Laurel Bank Croquet Club takes part in Pennants, and members play in local tournaments and other competitions.
New Members
Interested persons are invited to play croquet four times without charge while deciding to become a member of the Club. After which, the player must apply to become a member of the Club to continue playing. Applications are to be made in writing on the relevant form and prospective members must be nominated and seconded by current financial members of Laurel Bank Croquet Cub. If the Club has reached it's membership capacity, prospective members may wish to place their name on a waiting list until such time as a vacancy becomes available for them.
Membership fees for the 2026 calendar year are $220 per annum or $166 for junior players (under 21). Pro rata fees apply depending on date of joining the Club. Payment by electronic funds transfer preferred.
All necessary equipment, including mallets, will be provided by the club. Simply wear covered, flat soled shoes and bring your own water bottle. Hats and sun-safe clothing are recommended for your comfort.
Visitors
Visiting players are welcome to come along and join in on our play days. A courtesy phone call to the club would be advisable to ensure that there is play taking place. Green fees for visitors are currently $10 per player.
