Committee Bio

PRESIDENT - LUKE RAYMOND

I’ve been a member of Langwarrin Running since 2017, one of the original committee members when the club was created and president since 2020. I run for the challenge, for the mental and physical health benefits and to socialise with likeminded legends. I started out with an irregular 5km during lunchtime and now “enjoy” running ultramarathons. The club has helped me throughout.

VICE PRESIDENT - CAL WADE

I’ve always been a runner in some capacity, but it wasn’t till I joined the Langwarrin Running Club in 2016 after moving to the area, that I discovered my love for it and it’s community, have been a proud committee member ever since. After not having any running goals on first joining, it wasn’t long till Julian had me on a program for my first marathon which I completed in October 2017. Since then I have found my happy place on the trails and have accomplished a number of ultra marathons along the way. Currently I train for life and general health and well being, maybe another ultra on the cards in the near future.

SECRETARY - PAIGE JESSULAT

Hi, my name is Paige and I have been running to keep fit since lockdown in 2020. When I first started, I thought the idea of running 5km would be absolutely impossible for me... but since I joined Langwarrin Running Club in 2021, I have built up to being able to run half-marathons and even completed the Two Bays 28km in 2023. I'm not the quickest, but I love the effects of running on my mental health and love to keep runs fun and friendly. I am secretary of the club, meaning I handle admin stuff. Being part of this club has really connected me to the Langwarrin community where I live and I am so fortunate to have made many new friends since joining. Come along and join the fun!

TREASURER - EJ HOWE

I have been a member of Langwarrin running club since 2019 when we newly moved into the area and I can safely say the club is one of my favourite parts of our move. I have run and been part of the fitness industry to some extent for most of my adult life and absolutely love it all, more recently becoming a level 2 recreational running coach. Not only have I met amazing friends through the club, I have had the opportunity to complete runs I never thought would ever be on my radar, being a pre Covid marathon with the best support, a couple of trail half marathons/two bays, running well into a pregnancy and making a slow comeback while pushing a pram. It is truly something special to be part of such an amazing, family friendly, club full of the absolute best members.

GENERAL COMMITTEE - ASH MILLS

GENERAL COMMITTEE - ANDREW MOLDRICH

I started running to keep fit and socialise, I have since qualified as a Level 1 run leader and competed in events from middle distance up to ultras. Currently I am focussed on middle distance track running with a longer-term goal to improve my half marathon PB.
