What to Expect: This learn-to-paddle event is suitable for Juniors, Cadettes, Seniors and Ambassadors. We will discuss the history of dragon boating, boat and equipment, team expectations and commitment, staying fit, competitive spirit, and health and community benefits. We will cover water safety and paddling form before doing a quick stretch and suiting up in our life jackets to get in the boat. Each group can plan to spend 30 minutes paddling on the water. This event will end with an origami craft and snack. We can’t wait to see you there – Paddles Up!!
