Leading up to Halloween, the Lake Acworth Dragons play host to a whimsical spectacle—witches, warlocks and their friends gliding across the water on standup paddleboards, kayaks and canoes (not provided). Participants (ages 14 and up) should dress in spooky attire and decorate your boards with skeletons, spiders and eerie props. Even pets can join in the aquatic mischief, making this a truly spellbinding community gathering.
Registration is $45 and will close when we hit max capacity (25 participants this first year). Spectators are free and do not need to register.
Every participant is required to sign a waiver, so it is important that you use a good email for your registration. Participants will not be allowed on the water without a signed waiver and a wristband.
Safety is key, as no lifeguards are present, so experience is encouraged.
Check-In will open at 9 am at Cauble Park and parking is free. You will not be allowed onto the water or past the check-in area until you have checked in and wearing a wristband, so please park and check in before unloading your board and gear. Check-In is organized by last name…just check the signs to know where to go.
We fly, oops, paddle at 10:00, so everyone has time to check-in and get their gear ready. The paddle is over at 12:30 when there will be raffles and a prizes for the best costume and best decorated craft. Participants can enjoy food and drinks from the vendors. There will also be swag for everyone!
