Lake Albert Hockey Club was founded in 1979, by the merger of the Lake Albert and Meteors Juniors sides. It was originally founded to be a social club for the Lake Albert Cricket Club. The first permierships were 1980 for 2nd grade Men, 1981 for 3rd grade Men, 1982 for 1st grade Men and 1982 for 3rd Grade Women.
In the 41 years since, Lake Albert has won the following:
1st Grade Men - 18 Premierships, 14 Minor Premierships, and 11 Runners Up
1st Grade Women - 9 Premerships (2 as LACU), 7 Minor Premierships and 9 Runners Up
2nd Grade Men - 16 Premierships, 16 Minor Premierships and 10 Runners Up
2nd Grade Women - 5 Premierships (3 as LACU), 2 Minor Premierships and 3 Runners Up
3rd Grade Men - 8 Premierships, 13 Minor Premierships and 7 Runners Up
3rd Grade Women - 4 Premierships (1 as LACU), 2 Minor Premierships and 5 Runners Up
