How can I enter?
You can enter the race either by entering using the online registration portal on our website, or by submitting copies of all documents by email to the race secretary on racing@ksyc.co.za by the cut-off date. You do not need to submit a crew list when entering, but a full crew list will need to be submitted by close of registration.
Please note, your entry will not be confirmed until your proof of payment has been received.
Will I get a race shirt?
Yes, all participants will receive a race shirt. We require a completed crew list but the close of registrations to ensure correct shirt allocation, otherwise your crew will only recevied their shirts after the event has taken place.
Do all my crew need to be registered with SA Sailing?
Yes, all crew need to be a registered sailor with SA Sailing. If one of your crew members is not currently a member of a yacht club with a valid SA Sailing number, KSYC has options available for temporary and country membership. To find out more, view our options.
What is the schedule of events?
Registration: Friday 14 June 2024, 17:00 - 18:00
Skippers Briefing and Opening Cocktail: Friday 14 June 2024, 18:00 - 22:00
Race start: To be confirmed at the Skippers Briefing, weather dependent.
Prizegiving: Not before two hours after the last competitor finishes, or time limit expires.
Will there be scrutineering?
Yes. All yachts will be scrutineered before the race starts. Details will be communicated to each Skipper in due course.
What will it cost to race?
Entry fees are R500.00 per yacht and R300.00 per skipper/crew member. The yacht entry does not include the skipper's entry. Entries close on 31 May 2024, but late entry fees are available until 7 June 2024. Late entry fees are R800.00 per yacht and R450.00 per skipper/crew member.
