Racquetball
Racquetball
There are several ways to play racquetball at Ingle Farm. The cost is typically $14 per night, payable at the front desk when you enter the Ingle Farm Recreation Centre.
Social competition (Wednesday nights from 7PM)
Catering to all levels from beginner to expert, the Wednesday night competition is the best way to start playing racquetball. Players are scheduled to play one opponent per week, with multiple divisions and a handicap system in place to help keep matches competitive. The vibe of the competition is social and fun, and players are encouraged to stay until the end of the evening for supper and drinks. Players can either choose to be listed as regulars (with a match scheduled each week) or substitutes (to be contacted whenever regular players are unavailable).
If you are interested in joining in, please contact Michael Haythorpe via email (MAHaythorpe@gmail.com) or phone (0419 396 399), or Matt Costello via email (MCCostello89@outlook.com.au) or phone (0488 696 625). Alternatively, feel free to come along any Wednesday evening from 7PM, and speak to any of the players there about the competition.
Pennant competition (Monday nights from 7PM)
The A Grade and B Grade racquetball pennant competitions run twice a year, typically from February-June and August-December. These competitions typically feature a mix of singles and doubles racquetball. Teams are based at centres all across Adelaide, and every second match is an "away" match at a different centre. If you are interested in forming or joining a racquetball Pennant team, please contact Michael Haythorpe via email (MAHaythorpe@gmail.com) or phone (0419 396 399).
Doubles social competition (Once a month on Fridays from 7PM)
There is a social doubles competition which runs once a month on Fridays (typically the last Friday of each month). The competition caters to all levels, whether you already have a partner, or would like to be matched up with one. If you are interested in joining in, please contact Karin Gaard via phone (0417 851 311).
Social racquetball hits
Although there is nothing officially organised, it is very common for racquetball players to come for a social hit on Saturday mornings from 9AM (usually finished by 11AM). If you are looking to meet new players, this is an excellent time to come along and join in with others.
