Greystanes Giants Softball Club (GGSC) is a family-oriented, social and competitive, softball club serving the local Greystanes community, established in 1979. We play in the Cumberland Nepean Softball Association which is based in the Seven Hills/Blacktown region. Our players come from all areas of Western Sydney, and beyond.

We participate in the Summer competition which runs from October to March (except Summer School Holiday period).

Training usually commences in September once team lists have been compiled. Training takes place at Daniel St Park in Greystanes, the days depending on council allocation.

All games are played at the same grounds, at the same time each week. The games are 1 hour long in the under 8's competetion and 1 hour and 15 minutes in all other competitions.

All junior competitions are on Saturday mornings at International Peace Park Seven Hills.
Senior Ladies A Grade, Mens fastpitch and Mixed slow pitch are Friday nights at Stanhope Gardens Softball Arena.
Over 35s Mens and Womens are Wednesday nights at Stanhope Gardens Softball Arena.
All other ladies and mixed grades are held on Saturday afternoons at International Peace Park Seven Hills.

Junior Competitions

We offer blast ball, tee ball and softball in mixed gender competitions.

Age groups are based on the age that the player will be turning this year i.e. the age that they will be on the 31st of December. They must be UNDER that age to play in that age group.

Blast Ball - 3-5 year olds. This is a skills session only with no games
Teeball - Under 8's and Under 10's
Softball - Under 12's (modified), Under 14's, Under 16s, Youth Mixed

Juniors play at International Peace Park in Seven Hills.

Players must turn 5 before the 31st December to be eligible for under 8's. i.e. born in 2021 or later.
Juniors between the ages of 3 and 5 can play blast ball. Blast ball is aimed at young children to get them ready for tee ball. It introduces the basic fundamentals of softball and baseball (hitting, throwing, catching, running and fielding) in a fun and inclusive manner. There are no complex rules or umpires - just fun! Parents are recommended to be on the field to assist their child and participate with them.
Juniors between the age of 5 and 10 either play tee ball in the under 8's or under 10's competitions. The under 8's competition is an unscored competition focused on the kids learning the skills and rules of the game.
The under 12's competition play a modified version of softball
Juniors who are eligible may also play in senior competitions. Girls must be 12 years to play in ladies competitions, and boys 14 to play in mens competitions. All players must be at least 14 to play in mixed competitions.

Senior Competitions

Our senior competitions welcome senior softball players of all experience levels, with no upper age limit. We offer ladies, men and mixed competitions. Individuals may play in mens/ladies, over 35s, slow pitch and mixed teams if they wish.

Seniors play at International Peace Park in Seven Hills on a Saturday or Stanhope Gardens Softball Arena, on Wednesday or Friday nights.
