Membership

Welcome to the Goolwa Regatta Yacht Club.

We value all our members and would love you to become a part of our community.

If you are interested in becoming a member, download the membership application form and have your proposer and seconder (must be senior, life or veteran club members) sign the form. Return to us via gryc@gryc.com.au or in person.

We will post your application on the club notice board for a minimum of seven days, then it will be assessed at the next General Committee meeting. Once approved, you will be contacted and invoiced for your membership fees and, when fully paid, you are eligible to participate in racing and cruising activities at the club.

Please note that for insurance purposes, only financial members can participate in club sailing events. Non-members can use a Sailpass (temporary membership) - https://www.revolutionise.com.au/goolwaryc/registration/

All membership fees are vailid at the time of publication for the year 2024-2025 and are subject to change.

Membership Types
Life	Nil	Veteran or Senior Member who has rendered valuable and exceptional service to the Club. Proposed by General Committee. Voted by the Club at a general meeting.
Veteran	$365	Senior member for a continuous period of at least 10 years AND sixty or more years old; elect to change to Veteran in writing to Secretary.
Senior	$595	18 years or older, Voting rights, Marina Berth Licence or Sub-licence Holder, Person in Charge in Club Races.
Associate	$215	18 years or older, no Voting rights or Marina Berth Licence or Sub-licence Holder, Crew only.
Junior	$50	18 years or younger
Temporary		Crew wanting to become a GRYC Temporary Member must register via SailPASS for the date they participate in any one race: The first three (3) races are at no cost as a Come ‘n’ Try and can be used only once over any number of seasons. This applies to people who are new to sailing, not members of other clubs All consequent races at $10 per race Monies paid, in any one season, will be deducted from the Membership Fee for that current season and not carried forward

In addition, the following sub-classes of Associate membership is approved under the Constitution Part II Clause 9 (3):

Sailability	$55	A sailor with a disability or their carer/s
Student	$105	18 to 25 years old in full-time study

All GRYC memberships automatically provide you with Australian Sailing membership and their Personal Injury Insurance cover.

Family discount package - provides membership for 1 x Senior/Veteran, 1 x Associate and any Juniors and Students of the immediate family. Available upon application to secretary@gryc.com.au

Ideal for a family with two persons who would like to race in their own right as persons in charge, for a payment of $ the Family Plus discount package provides membership for 2 x Senior/Veteran and any Juniors and Students of the immediate family. PAYMENTS

The membership year covers 1 July - 30 June.
Fees are payable by 30 September.
Fees can be paid monthly via direct debit, with full payment by 31 March.
Members in financial hardship may request to pay by instalments. Please contact us for further detials

NEW MEMBERS

Pro-rata fees apply to new members joining after 1 January of any subscription year: January – 50%, February – 40%, March – 30%, April – 20%, May – 10%, June – No charge
