Elsternwick Croquet Club has been part of the local community for over 110 years. Located at the bottom of Hopetoun Gardens, we're a friendly group of around 25 members who enjoy both the game and each other's company.

True to our name – Elsternwick means "magpie village" – we share our beautiful grounds with plenty of magpies and other birds that have become part of our club's character, even if they do sometimes rip up the lawns looking for beetles and bugs! Many of our members enjoy feeding and watching our feathered friends during the games.

If you're new to the game, we'll start you with Golf Croquet and get you playing with everyone from day one. Being a small and social club, we make sure that everyone plays together on the lawn at the same time, regardless of experience level. This creates a relaxed, social atmosphere where beginners and experienced players mix naturally.

We play both Golf Croquet and Association Croquet.

The club is easily accessible by the 67 tram.

New members are always welcome to come and give the game a go.
