East Coast Waves Hockey Club was proudly established in 2025 following a rebrand from Matthew Flinders Anglican College.

The rebrand marked an exciting new chapter - under the East Coast Waves name, the club now welcomes players from a wider region, creating opportunities for athletes of all ages and abilities to be part of a connected and supportive hockey community. With this rebrand it allowed the club to engage sponsorships and build partnerships with local businesses and secure a financial independance to support our development. 

While our name and identity evolved, our commitment to player development, teamwork and sportsmanship remains at the heart of everything we do. The Waves represent growth, progression and unity on and off the field.

Through hard work, playing for each other, incredible support from the sidelines and many other factors, East Coast Waves have already earned Major Premierships, Minor Premierships, Presidents Cup, Player of the Final and Representative Members all the way through to Champion Club.

As we continue to build, East Coast Waves Hockey Club is proud of where we’ve come from and excited about what lies ahead.
