About

Daylesford Volleyball Association Inc (DVAI) was formed in 2008 by Colin Priest, who was formerly a Victorian state coach for Volleyball Victoria. Colin is a competition director and coach across Victoria, we are very grateful to have Colin's involvement in the club. We're a volunteer-run, not for profit organisation.

DVAI has coached and witnessed many of our juniors become Victorian junior state players throughout the years.

While we enjoy the competitiveness of the games, this is a social club that offers a fun, friendly, and safe environment
for all players no matter their skill level.

Our club stands for inclusion and diversity; we welcome:
- All skill levels with coaching provided.
- All ages.
- All genders and nationalities.
- Individual players.
- Business teams.

We offer weekly social games on Mondays between 6 pm to ~8pm. 6-7pm for juniors and 7 ~8pm for adults. Social competitions are held in both summer (Jan/Feb start) and winter (July start) seasons.

We encourage you to come and join us or contact us.

Junior Pathways
DVAI provides a strong junior development pathway in partnership with Daylesford College and  Daylesford Primary School. Led by Colin Priest, the program introduces students to volleyball at primary school level and supports their progression into secondary school competition, Monday night volleyball and representative opportunities. Students are encouraged to develop leadership skills through coaching and umpiring, while the program's success is reflected in the achievements of local players, including state championship qualifiers and Victorian State team representatives. This pathway helps young people build confidence, skills and lasting connections within the Daylesford community.
