Dubbo Water Polo Team Makes a Splash in Raymond Terrace! 

The Dubbo Water Polo Team hit the road this weekend, travelling to Raymond Terrace to take part in a vibrant and exciting social water polo competition. The team was warmly welcomed into a supportive and competitive environment, playing alongside the Mid North Coast Tritons Water Polo and Bar In Water Polo Club teams in a fantastic day of sport, teamwork, and learning.

Despite being away from home, the Dubbo team was strongly supported not only by their own players but also by generous fill-in players from the other teams. Special mention to Matthew Clark and Toby Condon. This spirit of cooperation highlighted the true meaning of a social competition where development, sportsmanship, and community matter just as much as the final score. 

The day featured four ‘Opens’ matches as well as junior games, giving players of all ages the opportunity to get valuable game time in the pool. One of our junior players, Darcy Shanks, achieved something truly special by competing in both the junior matches and stepping up to play in the ‘Opens’ division - an outstanding effort that showed confidence, determination, and growing skill. 

Dubbo Water Polo had an incredibly successful outing, winning two of their three ‘Opens’ matches with fill-in players. The team demonstrated strong teamwork, resilience, and impressive improvement throughout the day, making the trip to Raymond Terrace a memorable and rewarding experience.

Most importantly, the competition showcased a positive and supportive water polo community where players encouraged one another, shared skills, and celebrated each other’s successes. It was a fantastic opportunity for the Dubbo Water Polo Team to grow, compete, and represent their community with pride.
