2024 / 2025 Membership prices

Our registration process has changed this year.

Parents / Guardians are to register themselves first before they register their child.

All athletes who are 17 years or younger, a Parent / Guardian must register as a parent / guardian member first. This will cover you for insurance.

After registering as a Parent / Guardian, an email will be sent with a link to register all athletes. Please ensure you check your spam folder for this email. Douglas Athletics accepts registrations for athletes aged 5 years (born 2019) and over. 

If you have NOT registered as a Parent / Guardian previously, you will need to register yourself as a new member before you register your child.

All membership includes the following:

• All memberships include personal insurance
• Free access to Club days and Club coaching
• Registration to Little Athletics Queensland and Little Athletics Australia
• Registration to Athletics North Queensland, Queensland Athletics, Queensland Masters Athletics and Athletics Australia
• Access to participate at ANQ and LAQ sauntioned carnivals and Championships during 2024 (excludes Carnival & Championship nomination costs)
• Eligible to participate at State & National Championships until 31 March 2025 (Qualifying standards must be met in order to nominate)

Membership fees for 2024 / 2025 season are:

• Parent / Guardian membership - FREE
• Single membership - $220.00
• Family membership (2 athletes) - $400.00
• Family membership (3 or more athletes) - $450.00

All parent / guardian volunteers are required to register free of charge with ANQ so that you are covered by insurance.

HERE ARE SOME STEPS TO HELP YOU ALONG WITH THE REGISTRATION PROCESS

2. Scroll to New Member or existing member - ** PARENTS, this is your name as the PARENT GUARDIAN  ** choose the suitable one. 
    If you have not registered yourself as a PARENT GUARDIAN before, you will be a new member.
3. Fill out form - choose Parent/Guardian (unless registering as an 18 years to Masters athlete). 
4. When parent/guardian form is complete, you will then receive an email - this is where you click the link suitable (you need to scroll down to find these options) 

It would be fantastic to have all our members participating in club days in a uniform, however this is NOT compulsory. We will have a limited supply of uniforms that did get wet during the floods (they have been washed immediately after the floods) and we are selling these at discounted prices.

Uniforms are compulsory for all Interclub competitions.

Fair Play Vouchers

Douglas Athletics accepts Fair Play vouchers for the 2024 season. To use this voucher for membership, please follow the below instructions:

• Registration of single athlete -  When attending your first club day, please hand in your voucher to the club's registrar at the start of the day. This ensure membership can be updated to an athlete class and an invoice will be sent for payment of $50 (this is the difference between the voucher and the fee). Athletes will not be classed as full members until the voucher is submitted and additional invoice paid in full.
• Registration for families - When attending your first club day, please hand in your voucher to the club's registrar at the start of the day. This ensure membership can be updated to an athlete class and an invoice will be sent for payment of the remaining balance (this is the difference between the voucher and the fees). Athletes will not be classed as full members until the voucher is submitted and additional invoice paid in full

Trial Days

Interested athletes (who are not previous members of an athletics club) have the option to “trial for two weeks” at a cost of $10.00 per club day (non-refundable). This is available for a two-week consecutive period during the first 6 weeks of the season. After the 2 week trial, trials members may then upgrade to the club's full membership status and the $20.00 already paid is deducted from the full membership total (via a discount code), otherwise they no longer participate. Upon payment of the full balance of membership, the full membership entitlements are available.  

Athletes can only trial at a club day and must be a fully registered athlete to participate at training sessions. 

Results from the trial days will not be included in the athlete’s performance for the year. Results commence from the date full registration fees are received.
