DiamondBacks Hockey Club has been a prominent club in Tasmanian hockey, in 2025 celebrating its 75th anniversary and being the recipient of the Lord Mayors Trophy for Best Performed Club Overall for the 6th consecutive year.

For the five years prior to this significant milestone, in 2020-2021-2022-2023-2024, DiamondBacks was awarded two prestigious awards in the Southern Hockey League - the Lord Mayors Trophy, and the Ron Mills Trophy for Best Performed Junior Club. 

In 2025 we had over 400 members and over 300 registered players from HookIn2Hockey to Masters. Our culture is one of respect and fair play. We mentor and support junior players to develop into better players and individuals. We encourage our members to become umpires, coaches and volunteers, and several of our members contribute strongly to the conduct of hockey at local, state and national levels.
