Derwent Hockey Club has one of the most successful hockey programs in Tasmania. 

Based at the Tasmanian Hockey Centre in New Town – there are opportunities for players of all ages, fielding teams across juniors, seniors and masters.

Derwent has the right program to suit all levels from those new to hockey, elite players and all those in between.

The basic objects of the Club are to:

(a)     promote the game of hockey and its development at all levels in all seasonal rosters in Tasmania;

(b)     support the hockey and personal development of members at all levels;

(c)     provide opportunities for members to take part in competitive and social hockey in Tasmania and elsewhere;

(d)     to encourage and promote all activities consistent with and incidental to the sport of hockey; and

(e)    maintain the Club’s traditions, preserving a sense of history as one of Tasmania’s oldest hockey club.
