Country ConnecTT

Published Fri 26 Jun 2026

The Greater Dandenong Table Tennis Association (GDTTA), in partnership with LOOPS Table Tennis, is pleased to announce the launch of Country ConnecTT, a new initiative designed to create development opportunities for regional and country players, coaches, and families across Victoria.

The program will be delivered by Greater Dandenong’s coaching team and will consist of ten sessions annually, with five sessions hosted at the Greater Dandenong Table Tennis Stadium and five sessions held at the LOOPS venue.

We are delighted to invite your members to participate in the inaugural session, which will be held as follows:

Date: Sunday, 26 July
Time: 11:00 am – 2:00 pm
Venue: Greater Dandenong Table Tennis Stadium

Country ConnecTT aims to provide regional and country athletes — particularly junior players — with access to high-quality coaching and development opportunities that may not otherwise be readily available in their local communities.

The coaching team includes Shibaji Datta, a gold medallist for India at the 2006 Commonwealth Games in Melbourne and a former Australian No. 1 ranked player. He will be joined by Partha Gogoi, founder of TT Hub, a table tennis centre in India dedicated to junior coaching and player development, and currently a coach within GDTTA’s Junior Development Program.

The five sessions hosted at LOOPS will be conducted by João Neves, Head Coach at LOOPS Table Tennis.

The participation fee is $20 per session, and all participants must register in advance.
