DAM Busters are Determined And Mighty myth Busters - determined in spirit and mighty of heart, busting the myths surrounding exercise after a cancer diagnosis.

Founded in 2001, the DAM Busters were the first breast cancer survivor dragon boat club established in metropolitan Melbourne. Today, our club proudly welcomes ALL cancer survivors and their supporters who want to enjoy the camaraderie, fitness, and fun that dragon boating offers.

We believe that life after a cancer diagnosis can be full of strength, connection, and joy. Through paddling together, we rebuild confidence, restore health, and celebrate resilience — both on and off the water.

Our members come from diverse backgrounds, all ages, and all fitness levels. Whether you’re recovering from treatment, supporting a loved one, or simply seeking a positive and welcoming community, the DAM Busters offer a place where everyone belongs.

Dragon boating is more than a sport for us — it’s a symbol of hope, teamwork, and thriving beyond cancer.

DAM Busters is a member group of International Breast Cancer Paddling Commission (IBCPC), Dragon Boat Victoria (DBV) and Breast Cancer Network Australia (BCNA). Partnering with Z&J Sport for paddling equipment.
