🚀 Meet Sue Phung (aka “Sue-P”), our club president.

At 4'9" of pure pocket-rocket power, Sue has been leading from the front since joining the club in 2017. She captained from 2018/19 to 2020/21 before stepping into the President’s seat in 2022/23.

A Level 4 Sweep, Sue’s represented Australia as:

• Aurora Premier drummer at the 2018 China Asian Championships
• Aurora Senior A sweep at the 2023 Thailand World Championships
• Plus, multiple years with the Dragon Boat Victoria State team in both Premier and Senior A. 

Off the water, Sue’s got a black belt in Taekwondo (10+ years, with 2–3 years coaching juniors), and a serious passion for food – Italian, Japanese, Thai, Middle Eastern… and especially ice cream! 

Sue’s vision? To build a strong, competitive Women’s 20 She Dragons crew and hit the podium at AusChamps 🥇. 
With her drive, camaraderie, and care for the team, we’re in good hands.
