What an amazing weekend at theDragon Boat VictoriaBattle on the Barwon (BoB) regatta for the club. What we saw was the accumulated effort from every paddler, every supporter, every sweep, every coach, every member of the leadership crew – and everyone who has turned up, put in the work, and helped make this team what it is.
As we all know, there are no heroes on a dragon boat when it comes to paddling. No one person wins a race. No one person makes a regatta great. We all did our part.
There were some fantastic firsts to highlight on the day:
1️⃣ First time stroking races.
1️⃣ First time sweeping races.
1️⃣ First time racing for our boot campers (BC).
1️⃣ And for some of our members, their first BoB.
Congratulations to you all! I hope it's a first of many to come ❤️🔥
The results are a reflection of the collective efforts of every single training session. Every paddle builds endurance, resilience and strength – not just in the body, but also in the mind.
Well done team and great fuel for the regattas ahead.
