Purple Squad is for selected competitive trampoline gymnasts who have progressed into the National Stream Levels Program.

Gymnasts in Purple Squad follow the Gymnastics Australia Australian Levels Program and are required to meet specific skill requirements within the relevant age requirements to progress through the National Stream pathway.

This squad has a strong focus on continuing to develop advanced skills, technique, routines, strength and competition performance.

What Will Gymnasts Learn?

Gymnasts will train across a range of equipment, including:

• Trampoline

• Double Mini-Trampoline (DMT)

• Air floor

• Rod floor

Training will focus on advanced skill development, technique, body control, strength, skill connections and competition routines, allowing gymnasts to continue progressing through the National Stream Levels Program.

Competition Opportunities

Purple Squad gymnasts will have the opportunity to participate in a range of competitions throughout the year, including:

• CWG Club Carnivals

• Inter-club competitions

• State-level events

• Australian Gymnastics Championships, subject to qualification and selection onto the NSW State Team

Competition opportunities will depend on each gymnast's level, skill development, qualification requirements and readiness.

Selection

Purple Squad is by selection only and is designed for gymnasts who meet the required standards for the National Stream Levels Program.

If your child is interested in progressing through the Competitive Trampoline pathway, please speak with CWG Admin regarding assessment and pathway opportunities.

Uniform

Gymnasts participating in competitions will be required to wear the appropriate CWG competition uniform.

CWG club and training uniforms are available through our online uniform shop.
