Orange Squad is the entry-level squad in our Competitive Trampoline pathway and is designed for selected gymnasts who are ready to begin developing the skills required for competitive trampolining.
Gymnasts will learn the fundamental skills, body shapes and techniques required to build a strong foundation for progression through the program.
What Will Gymnasts Learn?
Gymnasts will train across a range of equipment, including:
Training will focus on developing correct technique, body shapes, body control, strength, fundamental trampoline skills and competition routines.
Gymnasts will learn routines set by Gymnastics NSW, based on Gymnastics Australia’s Australian Levels Program.
Competition Opportunities
Orange Squad gymnasts will have the opportunity to participate in a range of competitions throughout the year, including:

CWG Club Carnivals

Inter-club competitions

Regional competitions

State-level events
Competition opportunities will depend on each gymnast's skill development and readiness.
Additional Tumbling
Orange Squad gymnasts are highly encouraged to attend an additional Tumbling class to assist with the development of their tumbling skills, strength and technique.
Selection
Orange Squad is by selection only.
If your child is interested in progressing into Competitive Trampoline, please speak with CWG Admin regarding assessment and pathway opportunities.
Uniform
Gymnasts participating in competitions will be required to wear the appropriate CWG competition uniform.
CWG club and training uniforms are available through our online uniform shop.
