WAG League 6 – By Selection Only
League 6 is for selected gymnasts who are progressing through the CWG League pathway and working towards competing in Junior League at AGC (Australian Gymnastics Competitions) events.
Gymnasts must be assessed and selected by a CWG coach before joining this program.
What Will Gymnasts Learn?
Gymnasts will continue to develop more advanced skills across the four Women’s Artistic Gymnastics apparatus:
Training also includes a strong focus on strength, conditioning, flexibility, technique, routines and competition preparation.
Competition Commitment
League 6 is a competitive pathway, and gymnasts are expected to attend at least four competitions throughout the year.
Gymnasts will work towards competing in Junior League at AGC events, with competition opportunities determined by their skill development and readiness.
Training Commitment
League 6 is a three-times-per-week training program. Gymnasts are expected to commit to all scheduled training sessions each week, as well as required school holiday training sessions.
Monday: 4:00pm–7:00pm
Thursday: 4:00pm–6:00pm
Friday: 4:00pm–7:00pm
If a gymnast is unable to commit to all scheduled sessions, please speak with Madeleine to discuss whether alternative training arrangements are available.
Consistent attendance is an important part of this program and allows gymnasts to safely develop the skills and routines required for competition.
Uniform
Gymnasts are encouraged to wear CWG colours – navy, purple or aqua – to training.
CWG leotards are available through our online uniform shop; however, these are not compulsory for training.
